Yoga For Runners Workshop - FULL, No Spaces Available.

Sunday 21st July, 1:30- 3:30 pm
Leigh Park Community Centre, Westbury.

£20 per person (£5 deposit required when booking)

Marathon season is well upon us, and even if you’d prefer a more moderate distance or a leisurely jog this workshop is for you! Summer can be a great time to get outside, take in the fresh air and to move our bodies. Running has many benefits and best of all its free! Connect mind, body, and the breath as we move through a Vinyasa-style practice exploring specific areas of the body that are key to improving athletic performance, such as the hips, gluteus muscles and hamstrings.

We’ll discover how yoga and running go hand in hand, to help you prevent injury, whilst increasing mental focus and expanding on your endurance levels. As a runner myself for many years, I’ve found particular yoga practices and poses that have complimented my running and I’ll be sharing these during the workshop.

Snacks and drinks will be provided afterwards. If you have a food allergy, please advise when booking.

Mats are provided. Suitable for runners (of any distance), walkers, hikers, skiers, snowboarders, or anyone wanting to explore mobility and strength.

Yoga Basics Foundational Course

Learn the foundational aspects of the physical part of yoga over this 4-week course. Each week we will look at a different topic ranging from standing poses, seated poses, twists, and beginner backbends. Learn how to breath deeper, how to safely transition in and out of postures, and how to link your breath and movement together.

This course is suitable for anyone looking for an introduction to yoga before joining a class, or for anyone with an established practice looking to refine and learn more about basic poses. After all, you cannot build a stable structure upon a shaky foundation!

  • July 22nd, July 29th, August 5th and August 12th. – Spaces Available.

This course is run at Castle Place Leisure Centre, Trowbridge on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. £40 for members, £50 for non-members. Each course has a maximum of 5 students. To register your interest please contact Castle Place directly.

Yoga Tip

Different yoga poses influence your digestive system, so try not to eat a large meal up to 1 - 2 hours before your lesson.


Yoga Mats

If you have your own yoga mat please bring it with you to class. If not, don't worry mats as are provided at all classes and locations.

At Your Location

A private yoga class can help you improve your practice by giving you individual attention and sessions will be tailored to suit your needs. Whether you prefer the privacy of a 1-1 or if are too busy to attend classes, private sessions give you the ability to progress at your own pace.

Classes run for either 60 or 90 minutes and they are can be in the comfort of your own home or at a suitable location.

6 x classes – £180 (60 minutes)

Corporate Yoga

If your business is interested in increasing your employees wellness then Corporate Yoga classes are a great way to bring stress reduction to your workplace. 

These classes focus on gentle movements designed to help those who may spend the majority of the workday sitting down, as well as deep breathing and meditation practices to calm and rest the mind. All of this together contributes to happiness, contentment, and overall wellness.

Additionally this practice will improve attendance, focus, productivity, and building mindful working relationships.

Classes can be arranged for early mornings, lunchtimes, or after work.
